This is a kilim flat-weave piece from Konya. The motifs located on the top and bottom of the kilim are the comb design, a symbol that represents the a gift given to the weaver before she will marry.
The motif most prominently featured is the pigeon's head, notably in a coupled arrangement. In Anatolia, these symbols are representative of a family or couple bond.
